I worked on a grant project that teamed up with Baldwin County Family Connection’s Little Free Libraries. Baldwin County Family Connections brings community partners together to develop, implement, and evaluate the plans for issues facing the community’s children and families. They presented the challenge of expanding their existing programming in the community with the Little Free Libraries.
The goals for this project were to increase children’s literacy in Baldwin County, impact the community surrounding Georgia College while gaining practical graphic design experience, and create lasting infrastructure for future leaders of Little Free Libraries of Baldwin County.
For this project my partner and I began with Logo Design, creating an icon to represent the organization. We then designed a map, showing all the locations with color-coded dots that correspond to their location name. The map includes a QR code that takes the user to our website. The website creates open communication between the organization and Little Free Library users. As well as creating a place for users to quickly find information on hours of availability, locations, social media. You can click here to see the website created for this project.
